Thick-walled insulation for energy-efficient processes

Drying hoppers from Digicolor are manufactured completely from stainless steel and feature a thick-walled thermal insulation of the hopper shell. This insulation that fully includes the entire cone area of the drying hopper ensures that the drying heat is retained in the hopper and energy losses due to dissipating heat are minimised.

All drying hoppers are flow-optimised in order to prevent, for example, a leading core flow of the granulate, thus ensuring that every granulate grain will spend nearly the same dwell time in the material hopper.

In combination with the particularly energy-saving Drywell drying air generators, energy-efficient dry-air dryers are designed and installed customised for the specific application.
The modular system comprising drying hopper and drying air generators allows the adaptation of granulate drying to the specific production environment. For example, granulate dryers may be installed directly above the screw feed zone of the processing machine, as compact add-on dryers next to the machine or in central drying systems.
