Granulate drying for high material throughputs

Big dry-air dryers of the Drywell series are specially developed granulate dryers with hopper volumes of up to 5.000 litres. These are primarily used in injection moulding and extrusion applications with high throughputs of plastic granulate. Depending on the application, these large-scale drying systems are installed next to the processing machine or above the screw intake or extruder.

Energy-efficient, Drywell big dry-air dryers

Drywell drying processes are based on the extremely energy-saving adsorption honeycomb principle. This drying technology ensures an adjustable, continuous dew point of the drying air. Together with the setting variables of drying temperature and air volume, drying processes with Drywell granulate dryers can be easily controlled. By adjusting and optimising the drying parameters, required residual moisture tolerances are maintained. The drying hoppers are characterised by the fact that both the inner and outer shells are made of stainless steel. This ensures that plastic granules only come into contact with stainless steel surfaces.

A thick-walled thermal insulation is inserted between the inner and outer shells of the drying hopper, which ensures that the process heat is retained in the hopper and not dissipated into the environment. This is another reason why Drywell pellet dryers are very energy-efficient. Plastic pellets are reliably kept dry in the Drywell pellet dryer.
