In plastics processing, there are so-called compact conveying systems in addition to complex granulate supply systems. These are used to supply production islands locally with plastic granulate and/or regrind. Often only 2, 3 or 4 conveying stations have to be fed with granulate in order to realise the conveying connection of granulate drying, grinding and dosing to supply an injection moulding machine or an extruder.
Compact conveying systems have an extremely space-saving design and combine all the functions required for industrial-grade granulate conveying. This includes a powerful vacuum generator for pneumatic conveying, a dust filter, the granulate conveying control as well as vacuum connections for connecting the material separators or conveying devices to the vacuum system. With Digicolor, all these system components are mounted on a space-saving overall frame and are supplied or installed as a single unit.
Such compact conveyor systems are available in different performance levels and can be easily integrated into any plastics processing plant.
Compact conveyor systems from Digicolor can also be used in recycling applications to extract regrind from plastic mills, slow-speed grinders or toothed roller granulators. In this case, the compact granulate conveying system takes over the feeding of the regrind material to the processing machine. Furthermore, such conveyor stations are suitable for modernising or optimising the conveyor technology for connecting existing mills, dosing units or granulate dryers.
