Dedusting for different granulate throughputs

Dust extractors are used in plastics processing for the production of high-quality parts. Especially in the automotive sector, in the field of lighting systems or medical technology, where very clean plastic granules without dust or foreign particles are required, these devices come into play. Often, the unwanted dust is first created in the piping system by the conveying processes of the granules. These granulate dusts are removed by the device immediately before the virgin granulate reaches the inlet hopper of the processing machine.

Dedusting units are preferably used in the injection molding process and installed directly above the screw intake of the processing machine. These devices are mainly used for dedusting virgin plastic granules (virgin material). Dedusting of regrind or recycled granules requires prior technical clarification.

The dust or foreign particles are separated from the virgin granules by an electrostatically charged deflection roller and collected in a collecting container by means of the Venturi principle. The excess air from the cleaning process is discharged to the outside via a fine filter. The dust collection container and filter cartridges can be maintained and cleaned without tools.

• DR-40, throughput up to 40 kg/h
• DR-100, throughput up to 100 kg/h
• DR-300, throughput up to 300 kg/h

These dedusting units can be combined with Digicolor granulate conveying systems, material receivers or machine hoppers to ensure automatic feeding with plastic granules.
