Digicolor offers comprehensive services for Moditec granulators. These slow-running toothed roller mills produce large quantities of high-quality regrind from sprues and rejects in daily use. The ground engineering plastics, whether glass-fibre reinforced or unreinforced, demand maximum performance from these granulators in continuous industrial use.
A proven quality feature of Moditec granulators is the fact that all combs and counter combs of the cutting mechanism are reversible and thus have a double service life. Regular checks of the cutting elements and maintenance of the mills guarantee a high quality of the ground material and promote the longevity of the already very robust toothed roller mills.
With its decades of application experience with these plastic mills and an extensive service stock, Digicolor supports customers all over the world with regular maintenance, servicing and spare parts service.
The most important part of maintenance is the inspection of the cutting elements, i.e. the knife rollers, combs and counter combs. Before replacing such components, it is advisable to regrind the cutting elements. This regrinding is done immediately after the cutting elements have been sent to us. After a short time, the mill is fully operational again. If a second set of cutting elements is used, there is no downtime.
Other important parts of the maintenance are the check of the metal detection as well as electrical and mechanical checks on the essential system components of the mill. In addition, a check of the gear oil, the grinding material hoppers or suction devices on the mill can play an important role.

These grinding tests can be decisive in assessing the feasibility of special recycling applications or in selecting the right cutting mill.
