Drywell top-mounted dryers from Digicolor are used to dry free-flowing plastic granules directly on the processing machine. For this purpose, the pellet dryer is adapted directly on the machine flange of the injection moulding machine or the extruder. This means that the energy-efficient dry-air dryer is easy to integrate into the production process. The granulate dryer can also be easily operated, monitored and optimised on the machine via the large touch panel. The drying hopper can optionally be supplied with plastic granulate by means of a single conveying device or a compact conveying system. If several top-mounted dryers are used on many processing machines, a central conveying system with higher-level visualisation is the best solution for granulate supply.
In case there is not enough space on the processing machine for the dryer installation, an extremely space-saving installation of the dry air dryer next to the processing machine is an option.. Pellet dryers from Digicolor can be used for a wide variety of applications and space conditions in plastics processing due to the modular Drywell system.
The drying parameters of the plastic granulates to be processed or the article-related production tools can be individually adjusted and optimised. In addition, the Drywell top-mounted dryer is extremely robust due to its stainless steel construction and the reinforced flange area at the outlet cone. For this reason, a stable installation on the feed area of the processing machine is certainly possible, provided that the machine has suitable framework conditions.
The core of the drying processes is the extremely energy-saving Drywell adsorption honeycomb principle, which ensures an adjustable, continuous dew point of the drying air. This makes dry-air drying an easily controllable process. So tight residual moisture tolerances are maintained. Surfaces in contact with the granulate as well as the outer casing of the hopper are made of stainless steel. A thick-walled thermal insulation is inserted between the inner and outer casing of the drying hopper, which ensures that the process heat is retained in the hopper and not released into the environment. This is another reason why Drywell granulate dryers are very energy-efficient. Plastic pellets are reliably kept dry in the Drywell pellet dryer.
